Dr. Viktor Ariel

Biography

Dr. Viktor Ariel is a Co-Founder and CEO of SURE Universal Ltd., which is developing an innovative Internet of Things (IoT) platform for Remote Health Monitoring, Home Healthcare and Smart Home.

He was the Chairman of the Business Steering Committee of Open Connectivity Foundation – the world leading consumer IoT consortium combining 500 largest consumer electronics companies.

Previously, Dr. Ariel was the General Manager of Samsung Semiconductors Israel where he managed Samsung R&D operations with the goal of establishing the world leading R&D center for semiconductor imaging.

With the help of Dr. Ariel’s technology, Samsung achieved number one market share in the world for cameras in mobile phones in 2009.

In 1999, Dr. Ariel founded TransChip Inc., a pioneering semiconductor company designing camera system-on-a-chip solutions for mobile phones.

As a visiting scholar, Dr. Ariel taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical Engineering at Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Ariel received DSc and PhD in Micro-Electronics from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

Also, he received BSc in Physics and MSc in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in New York
